What is Down Proof Fabric?

Down Proof Fabric is a tight woven cotton, it only for Down Feather Duvets or Down Pillows. The tight weave helps prevent down and feathers from “leaking”.

About Down Proof Fabric, Down Comforters, Pillows…. Any hotel linen that is filled with down & feathers, All requires a special fabric: “Down-Proof Fabric”, which will help prevent the down and feathers from leaking out the outer bedding surface.

Usually, there are two type of Down Proof Fabric, one is 100% cotton 233TC, one is 100% cotton 280TC. Both are in percale weave. The difference are the filling down ratio: the 233TC is suit for lower down ratio; and the 280TC is suit for higher down ratio, like 80% down or 90% down, 233TC is not available to fill that high down, because the high down is smaller than low down, it will leak from the 233TC but not the 280TC.  233TC is more familiar to seen in market, as it’s much cheaper and also available to fiber filling duvet or pillow.
